Show off your Delawares! *PIC HEAVY*

here's my Del's, I think I still have a couple of weeks to go before I get eggs.

Delawares are such a cool breed. I am new to chicken keeping, and 3 of the chicks got at the feed store happen to be delawares. Took me a few weeks and a couple threads to figure out what they were, but since they were chicks they have been my absolute favorites.
They are now between 13 and 14 weeks old, and I ended up with a pullet and two cockerels. We are keeping only one cockerel and I was hoping to get feedback that I have chosen the better roo.
This is Henry, he is the Chosen One at the moment. He is undoubtedly the alpha in my flock, and rounds up everyone else at bed time.

One weird thing about him is that his comb has some extra sprouts out of the side. Is this a common thing?

Here is Chomper, I don't like the way his tail looks, it's not as evenly barred. His body shape also looks a little off to me.

And here's Henrietta, my pullet. She she used to be the biggest chick, until Henry started developing. She is the chick in my avatar as well. I wish her tail had more black feathers, but she is still young so it could change some more.

When I am ready to expand my flock, I want to bring in more of these birds.

Also, I know that they were sourced from Privett hatchery.

Any thoughts about my dels would be appreciated!

Too funny! My Henrietta was originally named Henry, but once I realized she was a pullet, I convinced my son that we should rename her and make another one Henry. Full name is King Henry the First, since he likes to name everything Henry, I figured that was a good way to keep the name line going lol (we also have a fish, a turtle, and a couple other random things we have caught around here with that name)

I'm glad you like your Delawares! It looks to me like they're growing pretty well. You'll notice a lot of changes from this point forward, I think.

I think Henry sounds like a winner, especially if he has that good protective/bossy personality. If you wanted to show, the side sprigs on his comb would be a pretty big deal because t's a disqualification. I've noticed in my flock that comb shapes seem to stay fairly true to the father, so it's also a consideration if you intend to hatch chicks.

I don't show ...

... but as I am trying to help improve my line of Delawares to get them to match the Standard, I do select for the best type that I can. I love this video on how to select breeding birds, which just happens to co-star two Delaware cockerels.
