I’m picking up two chicks Feb 20, so I was hoping I could find them about the same age, really wanted to avoid. But two wouldn’t be bad, I could always keep one for myself, I suppose!

I’d love for him to have a few but 3 is their limit & his momma would like two egg layers. I’ve never had silkies, would the one be okay with two of another breed?

His momma would like two good layers for eggs & said Sergey could also have his one silkie. So the silkie will have two friends! :)

Thank you! He’s a very sweet kid. He likes that I can “make chickens” when his sister told him I put eggs in the incubator & when he saw silkies he got so excited. He’s never had a pet so what better first pet than a chicken!

I will have to weigh them next time, but I'm finding that there's not much meat on them to use as their poultry intake alone. They eat the bone also, so I haven't deboned a bird yet. That will have to be my next challenge! I wish I had the room right now to raise chickens for them! That was why...
