    The EE braggers thread!!!

Here are my 3 EE's, 13 weeks old: Cockerel (11 pullets out of 10 isn't bad lol), he's turning out to be quite pretty in my opinion. Might keep him if he behaves himself. Goldie is the cockerel's girlfriend: This is Flygirl. Ever since in the brooder, she loves to fly up onto the roost, as...

    The EE braggers thread!!!

I have a flock of 12 12-week old chicks. 3 each of: EE, RIR, PBR, BSL. Supposedly they were all pullets, but one of the EEs is a roo. He has grabbed the necks of a few girls already, and I scolded him once or twice. Since then, he won't go anywhere near me, and I am unable to catch him. He...

    The EE braggers thread!!!

Any guesses on this one? She/he is 8 weeks old. The largest of 12 chicks the same age. Bigger head than any others, comb turned pink soonest, etc. Is she a he or an early developing pullet?

    The EE braggers thread!!!

I have 3 EE's in a batch of 12 6-week old chicks. One EE, started out looking like a chipmunk, but is now very white with some brown spots. (s)he has a larger body than all the others, thick legs, and the comb has turned pink before all the others. Does this indicate a cockerel or just a...

    The EE braggers thread!!!

2 of my 3 EE's seem to be the most rambunctious of my 12 6-week old chicks, all from Ideal via my local feed store. They are also the largest, and they love dive bombing the masses when they are eating, lol. One is very friendly and loves to be held, the other, not so much, but is not scared...

one of my EE's at 6 weeks is getting a pink comb. any cause for concern? or maybe just an early developing pullet? ( I hope lol)

    The EE braggers thread!!!

Quote: I had three EE mutt chicks this past summer, and two were much larger than the other one. Sure enough, they were boys and had to be rehomed. By the time they were 2 weeks old, they both had noticeably larger combs, too, and thicker legs. By 6 weeks or so, they had little bumps on...

    The EE braggers thread!!!

I have a mix of 5 week old chicks, 3 of which are EE's. All 3 of them are larger than the rest. Should I be worried about them being cockerels, or ar EE's typically faster growing, hardier birds as chicks?

    The EE braggers thread!!!

wow, out of 12 3 week old chicks, my 3 EE's are the biggest, prettiest and craziest. I'm really impressed with these birds so far. They are my first 3 EE's, and after hearing about how they are not pure Ameraucanas but mutts, why would I care? lol Their beautiful feathering and size are...

    The EE braggers thread!!!

I just got 12 chicks Sunday from a local feed store. 3 of which they called Ameraucana. They came from Ideal, and I read Ideal's description of Ameraucana, and it said something like 'also called Easter Eggers'. So, do I assume they are EE and not a straight Ameraucana? They have beautiful...
