Found the pics of my older babies, so here they are . They are 3-4 weeks old here.
Hmm, will have to take some better pics tomorrow, didn't realize how horribly washed out they were.
Wow everyone has such lovely different EEs! Can't wait for mine to grow up and see what they will look like. Chicken math is getting to me, I started out with 3 RIR hens someone gave us, then got an EE rooster, then had to get 4 EE babies at the farm store. I had to go back to get more chick...
Ok everyone, I have 4 EE chicks (hopefully girls, but we'll see) and I am trying to figure out how old they are. We have had them a week and the guy at the feed store was not sure how old they are. What do you all think?
Chick 1

And of course Mumbles ( youngest...
Bruceha2000 - That's my rooster and yes now that you mention it he does look like he belongs in ZZ Top . I got him from my local farm store, they said he was Araucana, even though I was pretty sure he wasn't, but since I am new to this breed thought maybe I was wrong. Now that I have seen...
ChickNmamma - will have to look and see if he will let me get that close to him. He does seem to be shaped weird in his hind end . At least he seems to be settling in quite well today.
TW1KELL - So sorry to hear about your hen. I really like his coloring, looks much better and shinier than in the pic. He has already perked up quite a bit since I brought him home. Now I just can't wait for my little babies to get bigger so I can see what they look like! Pretty soon I will...
I know, sad little tail. He was in with larger birds (3 times as big as him, they were huge!) so not sure if they were picking on him and that is why his tail looks like that or if it just looks like that.
Awesome, thanks. I think he is quite different and handsome and yes he does have a tail, although it is a little strange looking. Will go over to that thread and see if anyone has any ideas.
Hello everyone, I am new here and have a question. I bought a rooster today from my local farm supply store. They had some fully grown hens and roosters they were using for egg for their incubator. The guy said this rooster was an "Aracauna" rooster. I figure probably not, but what do you...
