Congratulations to all who have so far successfully hatched this month! And good luck to those still waiting!
I ended up with 5 of 23 from my hatch, which is not great but better than none. Here is a pic of mine at 10 days old (yes there are more than 5 in the pic - my daughter added a...

I have bought eggs from Julie of Gabbard Farms myself and also had someone make a comment that she only had EE eggs. So I just sent her an email and asked her about her birds as I thought first hand information would be best. Here is her reply:
Hello Patty.... Our Blue Ameraucana and...
PandoraTaylor, yours sounds kinda like my day 22 report.
3 EE chicks hatched
1 Blue Langshan hatched
1 EE chick pipped, partially zipped, died
1 Blue Splash Marans chick pipped and currently working on zipping
17 more eggs watching me watch them. I have a couple of rockers and regularly hear...

The eggs in my incubator aren't from my hens, they are from Julie at Gabbard Farms. I don't have any Ameraucanas . . . yet!
I do have 3 pips now though - all A/A eggs. Evidently they are impatient to get out.
Ah, so then they're just plain EEs. Sorry, but Gabbard Farms sells EEs...

Wait, how come your sig says you have EEs, but your egg is an Ameraucana x Araucana?
Anyway - I'd love to see the little EE when it hatches.
I cannot wait until I start hatching some Araucana x Marans. A different kind of Olive Egger.

I have a pip!
It's one of my A/A eggs (Ameraucana x Araucana). My wiggling egg is now visibly rocking (another A/A) - I thought it would be the first to pip but evidently I was mistaken. Go chickies!
Okay, now I want Dorkings - thanks beckymom3! Very cute chick! Be sure to post more pics later.
Today is day 18 for me. I've seen a wiggler (or did I just imagine that?) and a rocker (definitely and obviously) and now I'm hearing "ghost peeping" from the incubator (I think ). So something...
kismet said:I pencil around the air pocket so I can compare mine with a sketch I have of the air pocket size at 7, 14, and 18 days (there's a lot of growth in the four days between 14 and 18 days). Then, I sketch the next time I candle so see how the pocket has enlarged - it helps me know...
Today was Day 8 for my batch of 38. I smelled a stinky this morning when I went to turn the eggs so I decided to just go ahead and candle (I usually wait 'til Day 10). Found the stinky - an EE. That leaves me 7 EEs in the bator. Candling results were 2 of 10 Silkies clear, 1 of the 5 JGs had...
Count me in for April! I have 38 eggs in the incubator due to hatch April 8th. Silkies, Blue Splash Marans, Blue Jersey Giants, Blue Langshans and EEs (or maybe I should call them "AAs" as they are Ameraucana X Araucana ).
