X2 and not just this thread but I've seen a lot of people overreact/freak out over nothing on lots of other threads lately too. Maybe it's the time of year or cold weather, idk. And for the record, I went back and read everything too and I'm pretty sure bluebaby was joking with the original...

Lucky! Lol I think it might also at least partly be because it gets cold here and the shorter days/less light. But I usually have at least one winter layer. Hope it continues. I also only have 7.

I'm not from Arizona but I still follow the thread, though I'm a little bit behind, and since I'm visiting in March, maybe I can be like an honorary member? :lau Anyway, I have a Barred Rock, 2 Black Australorps, 2 Buff Orpingtons, and 2 Easter Eggers. I had 3 Buff Orpingtons but I lost my...

Yeah, for large breeds they usually say to wait until at least 18 months I think. For some breeds too early can cause cancer too, like Rottweilers. I tried but he could smell it or something and refused lol That's a good idea. Wow how odd. And what is a chug? Supposedly intact dogs...

I tried giving carrots to Gator as well as brother's dogs. They didn't like it.

LOL OMG! Funny thing is actually Gator loves broccoli and green beans and I think asparagus :lau he'll eat brocolli raw sometimes but also adding ranch dressing to anything he will eat it. The cat loves asparagus too and always steals it if we leave it out. Chomp chomp chomp and paws it out of...

That's true. I was thinking raw originally but then I was also thinking maybe cooking the meatball could make it easier to get the powder inside? Or to smell better for him to ignore the scent of the other stuff?

That might work. And I do have some ground meat I bought recently for him (ground beef, ground turkey, ground bison) so maybe I could try putting it deep in one of those or cooking them or something.

Unfortunately it's a powder so it's harder. I tried dipping chicken in it and even PB but he could smell it. But I actually got two similar ones and the one I haven't tried yet I think is liver flavor so maybe he will try that one. He can be pretty picky and he's smart so he knows when it's in...

:lau Handsome roo. Oh that stinks :( I'm sure he'll be okay though! It's good that you waited as long as you could. :) I think some vets are still stuck i nthe older mentality of neuter neuter neuter and preventing overpopulation but there's a lot more research now that some probably don't...

    Arizona Chickens

But sorry, I do not mean to scare you or anything. I think if he is over 6 months old it should be okay but if at all possible, I would consider at least rescheduling his full neuter until later or trying to find someone to do an alternative one. Understandable if not though. Could also leave...

Believe it or not there are vets that do those as well as ovary sparing spays lol I'm not sure it's the exact same thing as a human vasectomy but they cut a tube or something. Idk if you have any vets that do it near you though and sometimes they are more expensive and sometimes not. They...
