    Australorps breed Thread

I'll try and take some pictures of them tomorrow. There is no way they are hiding any eggs. I've kept them all in just so I could watch. They are all Australorps, I bought them all the same time. 4 of them lay white eggs. They are the ones I adopted and they were all naked. It has been several...

    Australorps breed Thread

I have 16 Australorps and 4 of them lay white eggs and the others lay brown eggs. I have 4 of them that still have little combs and waddles. I'm wondering why they haven't grown like the others? I don't think they have even laid an egg. They're a year and 4 months old. Have any of you had this...

I have 14 Australorp hens and I've been giving them oranges. My grandson came home from school and said that his teacher said that citrus is bad for chickens. Who is right on this issue? Rae

I wonder why some have lighter ears, I noticed that some of their combs aren't as red as they were in the summer. I have 2 hens that are really late layers...I just got in and there were 2 eggs out there that were laid about 6 p.m...... Isn't that kind of late in the day for them to lay?

I was out with my Australorps (14) and I noticed that at least 1 had white ears... I thought they were all really red this summer.... I also noticed that their combs aren't as red as they used to be...Is that because we've been cold? They are laying good, today we 10 eggs.... I counted a couple...
