Yeah it is a bummer to have a surprise color chick hatch.

Why do some people not like Wheatens? I have a wheaten cockeral that is (IMO) the coolest looking bird I have ever seen. I love the contrasting colors.

Thank Alot of states have free necropsy. Google it for your area. It may cost $10 or something. I would want to know.

I would look into a necropsy. There is no possible way to diagnose that without one.
