Here is my darkest egg to date from my BBS pen. They just started back laying. Where on the scale would yall say this one falls? I think it came from a splash hen.

I seen someone that had some wade jeane black copper marans for sale and said they were wade jeane Rudy roo. And that they were the purest jeane. What is Rudy roo? Is that a different blood line than jeane or the same line?
I have a few questions about feathered shanks.
1. I have some black copper chicks that were from parents with good fearhering but they have light feathering. Will it grow thicker as they get older?
2. I always read there's a chance of hatching clean leg chicks. If one is hatched clean leg...
Question about toe punches. How old do the chicks need to be before they get punched. This would be great bc I have 3 different lines black copper and 2 different lines of blue and splash marans.

I used to do the toe punching when I was a kid, but haven't done it in years and have been thinking about resurrecting that again since there is so much to keep track of. I will have at least 5 breeding pens as well as several pairs for test mating and that does seem like it would...

I know some people have golden cuckoo marans. i ordered 12 chicks and looked like only 2 were roosters, and they dont look like they are gonna make it thru the night, cant even stand up. does anyone have a extra roo or 2 that they wanna get rid of or know where i can get one?
I'm goin to be looking to buy some French black copper marans chicks soon. Could anyone on here direct me to someone? I really have no clue in the difference of the lines but I know you see a ton wade jeane so I would kinda like to get another line. Hope someone can help. I've fallen in love...
I'm thinking of ordering a dozen black copper marans eggs from Fitzgerald farm. Has anyone bought eggs from Beth? They are 60 a dozen plus 3 extras. She said they got eggs directly from wade and they had c1 or c2 on them. So what does the cs mean? And is that a good price for the eggs.
I picked up 3 bcm hens from a guy in Georgia yesterday. Two of them are laying. About how long till they get use to being here and start giving me dark eggs?
Ok so it sounds like this person was off a little on his bloodlines. And I was worried about the 1/3 ration bc I want like 8 hens and dint really want keep 2-3 roosters in the same pen. Back to the bloodline. Is it really that sought after? I'll have to tell em it's Kelvin
I have a couple questions.
1. I've been told that a bcm rooster can't cover but 2-3 hens. Is this true?
2. And someone tried to sell me eggs from Kevin Jean line.I haven't seen that lune on here. I've seen wade jeane. But they said kevin Jean was highly sought after.
Does anyone have any french bcm chicks for sale. I have 2 three week old and some eggs on the bator and only 4 is formed and lock down is sat. So I might be looking for some more. The ones I got are wade jeane. Pls pm me if you do so I can make my mind up. Would like good quality and egg color...

The first 18 days the humidity should be 40-45 and last three days 60-65.
wow. my bator said 60-65 first 18 and then 80-85 or is this with maran eggs?

Does anyone raise Golden Cuckoo that would sell me some eggs? I'm love them and can't find anyone with any. I know that they won't be perfect and that's fine with me.
Quick question. If a chick hatches out of a light or dark egg does that mean they will lay or carry that color of an gene. Say if a hen hatches from a 6/7 egg will she lay that dark.
