why would you want that? If the legs are closer, that means that there is less room for the internal organs. Your description of what you want sounds more like another breed than a Cornish. They are your birds so do what you like, but it seems strange to me.

Hatcheries many times put Leghorn's into whatever they breed to get better egg production. He appears too narrow, lacks bone size and the width between the legs in too close. Cornish should have enough room to put your fist between the legs with width to spare.

I agree, but that is the way it looked when someone took that pic for Poultry Press. It wouldn't have been best of show at an APA National if it really looked like that.

Dark bantam. As noted....pictures don't always tell the whole story. I didn't take this picture and don't know why the wing looks like this, but it shows the body well. Best and Res of Show were Cornish bantams. That doesn't happen often.
