You do have double laced, but it is not distinct.....which in your case is not a problem. Show Cornish are massive birds, so it is not just pretty feathers. The Standard for a Cornish cock is 10.5 pounds, but you would never win in a show unless you showed at least a 14 lb bird. The color of the...

We bred to only WLR. WLR has enough color variations to do what you need without going out of the variety. Buff fades like crazy in the sun. w.

why would you want that? If the legs are closer, that means that there is less room for the internal organs. Your description of what you want sounds more like another breed than a Cornish. They are your birds so do what you like, but it seems strange to me. Walt

Hatcheries many times put Leghorn's into whatever they breed to get better egg production. He appears too narrow, lacks bone size and the width between the legs in too close. Cornish should have enough room to put your fist between the legs with width to spare. Walt

I really like the distance between the legs. It is still too early to know what they are going to be like, but the only thing I see that is negative is that the side view of the head seems to indicate it has a long head and beak. Overall it seems to be a good bird. If you can post pics as it...

I agree, but that is the way it looked when someone took that pic for Poultry Press. It wouldn't have been best of show at an APA National if it really looked like that. Walt

Dark bantam. As noted....pictures don't always tell the whole story. I didn't take this picture and don't know why the wing looks like this, but it shows the body well. Best and Res of Show were Cornish bantams. That doesn't happen often. Walt
