Today I moved the potted dwarf fruit trees and the potato barrels. The biddies had slugs, outdoor cockroaches, worms, sow bugs, and other critters that had been hiding beneath the pots.
Mine have helped themselves to some blueberries, a few protruding cucumber leaves, and have searched under the deck for snails. I suspect they'll go look for fallen fruit and then have some grape leaves.

The Chicken Run efforts around here consist of Black Star pullets attempting to fly about 20' distance at an altitude of 1 - 2 feet from the coop to the blueberry hedge bed. The crash landings tend to be short of the blueberries.
