The only issue with potato peels is generally if they're green under the peel. That green contains a toxin that can make them sick. If no green, they're fine. LOL, green or not, I don't bother...my finicky girls won't touch 'em :( Everything else sounds great!

Ours got turned out into the garden. They are HAPPY chickens...spent the day scratching and kicking mulch, straw and rabbit poo all over the place and picking all the grape tomatoes.

First thing when it was chilly, a bowl of warm cooked pintos with some yogurt, later in the day: trimmings from my canning session: stewing beef. They about took off my fingers before I got the dish set down, LOL

A nice warm bowl of oatmeal with homemade yogurt on top. And they gave us 4 gorgeous eggs in return. They've given us so many that we passed 2 dozen on to the local food bank today...it's always short on protein items so we're really glad to be able to share our "wealth"

I got out my big stainless steel bowl and walked around the yard, pulling dandelions, bindweed and thistles (they'll eat the fresh tender interiors) and snipping fresh clover, comfrey, oat tops and some lamium. They now have a big ole pile of goodies to scratch through and are thoroughly...

Noon treat was a banana today...figured it was fair payment for 2 new eggs ;) Plus they're a tad "chatty" today and we have a grumpy neighbor so thought we'd keep 'em busy for a little while. Will take them some yogurt later on...but put it down and run unless you want a yogurt shower! LOL
