We have a year old polish top hat that isn't looking so good. She and her sisters are the same age and look almost identical. However now this one looks a bit puffier than the other. Most of the time she prefers to hang out in the coop instead of running around outside with everyone else. We...

Anyone interested in a year old silkie roo? He does keep an eye out for his flock. Our only problem is that he's taken a dislike to a favored hen. She can't even get out of the coop any more. Can't stand to throw him into a pot. He originally came form msmeower on the boards here. Murfreesboro...

Anyone know of a business in the Murfreesboro area willing to give away a few used wooden pallets? I don't know where people get their pallets. I can't find a single place so far that doesn't ship the pallets back to the warehouse.

Got him from msmeower. She's got the buckeyes. We just want egg layers. Only have room (currently) for nine. As of right now three of them are males. Can't part with the cute silkie boys. Don't plan on incubating any eggs. Maybe when the coop can be expanded....:fl

Anyone out there want a buckeye roo? PM me if you are interested. Very pretty but having 1/3 the flock roosters is just not happening. Need egg layers not baby makers. :D

Giving this one more crack before Craigslist. Anyone want a free 6 month old silver laced frizzled polish roo? He was vaccinated for Marek's. He would do fine with larger chickens, but is too much for our silkies and the younger chickens. Hormones have kicked into high gear. In the Murfreesboro...

I have a roo that needs to find a new home. He's a frizzled polish. He's 6-7 months old and the hormones have kicked in. He is picking on the bantams and younger birds. Didn't happen until it started getting darker earlier so they aren't getting out of the run as much they had been. I'd really...

We have bought chicks from DMRippy and msmeower. All of them are healthy. Dmrippy's are old enough now that they are laying. Msmeower's are still a few months away from any productivity. You can't go wrong either way.

We are hoping for some of the lighter colors. We have five birds, four of which are dark to black. The one in my avatar kind of stands out. She's curly feathered and white. Technically I guess she's a paint. She has one black feather on her back. We are hoping to find a few more that are closer...

Anyone have 2-3 silkies or sizzles around 8-10 weeks old that they'd like to sell? We would like pullets but there's probably no certainty at that age. Looking for paint, splash, buff, calico or cream. PM me if have some please.

The show in Dickson is the Volunteer State Poultry Show. When I questioned them about it they told me there would be all kinds of chickens there. Should be LF and bantams. There will be fowl for sale too. Kind of hoping to come across partridge silkie. Ducks, geese, turkeys and the rest will be...

I am. First poultry show. Want to see what it's all about. Our first chicks are only 8-9 weeks old now. We can get the chicks to leave the coop and go into the run, but they won't go back into the coop. Any suggestions anyone?

Would anyone like a 6 week old EE rooster named Bunny? Bunny came to us from DMRippy. He's butting heads with all the other birds, but especially the silkies. I think one of them may be a rooster and before it gets to true fights, we need to get rid of Bunny. He will be pretty when he's grown...

At a month old our first chicks are doing great. The silkies are too cute. It looks as though our plan for all hens has run into a bit of a cockup. This is Bunny.

Who would have thought such tiny little things could eat so much? I'm beginning to wonder if we got feathered pigs and not chicks.
