Anyone out there want a buckeye roo? PM me if you are interested. Very pretty but having 1/3 the flock roosters is just not happening. Need egg layers not baby makers. :D

If I had room and time I would cross him with my Rhodebars......

I must STOP.... oh now my head hurts. I don't think I am going to keep the Rhodebars much past spring.

STOP THINKING ABOUT IT DONNA...... STOP!!!!! But the pea combs..... better in cold weather.... STOP!!!!!!

What about Paint Donna.I think other colors can carry Paint.

Did you see my pics? I don't know if that one chick could be paint or not. It is more spotted than anything. Not looking like a partridge no chipmunk stripes.... whiter looking than the partridge.

Did you see the ones I think look Choc? Someone said they look partridge too... but not like any I have ever seen. They are mutts so I have no idea what I got. Help me TIM!

Shiny red and green birdie. Pretty birdie....I'm pretty sure he cocka-Donna-dooed this morning....he's calling your name...:cd

If I was not TOTALLY OVERWHELMED I would take that project on..... I just can't spare the pen space.....  If it was fall I would do it.  Are you going to keep some to breed?  Or just the pullets.  Where did you get him????

Got him from msmeower. She's got the buckeyes. We just want egg layers. Only have room (currently) for nine. As of right now three of them are males. Can't part with the cute silkie boys. Don't plan on incubating any eggs. Maybe when the coop can be expanded....:fl

Donna, would be better if I could hold them to figure out what they are. Silkie down is sometimes difficult to figure out what they are going to be. Too much variability in down colors with them. I have seen almost Black down grow up to be light Partridge,so trying to say right now would only be a guess anyway. I am busy on weekends right now, I have people coming to pick up hay every Saturday.May have to come to your house on a Sunday. Pm Me your Phone no. please.

Morning!

Just wanted to say that come February we are once again a chicken family! Placed an order months ago for next month from Meyer's. Ordered 2 roos and 13 pullets from the rare breed assortment and 5 of the Leann's adopt me assortment. That is the one I'm most excited for ( I love guessing the breeds )

As for the rare breeds, we have our fingers crossed for 2 specific breeds ( German Spitz and Lavender Orps but will be happy with whatever we get. ) Once these biddes go into the coop, we have turkeys and geese arriving. I can't wait!
