HHHMMM thanks 4H Chicken mom I didnt think of that. well I have heard of other people using hatchers. And I have eggs that have several different hatch dates due to some uncontrolled circumstances, but right now I can leave the orps where they are at and move my other eggs to the...
OHbluecoop sorry to hear about your dog and the jersey and chicks

Thanks SCHMITTY. Yeah I am trying to figure this out so it doesnt keep happening. How is your little one? I had one like that that after 2 days was just fine.
days 1-18 were H 20-35% I think maybe that was too low
the air cells were pretty big
temps were 99.5- 100* however there were 2 temp spikes, and that is when I lost some embryos, but these 2 chicks made it to the end! It is so sad-I have been wanting these blue cochins for a long time, it...
the 2 that made it were perfectly formed and alive a few days ago--

but I noticed the humidity had greatly increased in the hatcher over night could that be it?
they never pipped but were through the inside membrane into the air pocket
I dont hear anything or see anything some one PLEASE STOP ME from opening up the bator- ---I know it was alive 2 days ago so it must be ok right? nothing bad has happened to it!
I just built a hatcher and am waiting for it to warm up-- I have 3 eggs and for sure one is alive at this point. when the hatcher warms up I will put them in, but I am so worried I will do something wrong now!
