I'm still here too.....down in Prineville (Via Austin, Tx). I've got 7 girls, BCM, Easter Egger, Welsummer, Brown Double Laced Barnevelder & just got 3 Mottled Java pullets yesterday. No one is laying yet, come late September I'll start getting eggs.
I sold 5 chicks and now have 4 (that I'm keeping) that will be 3 weeks old tomorrow. Little Vera the EE was SOLID black at a day old is now feathering out dark bark brown and black partridge along the back and wings, while the chest is coming in sort of a gold . Has anyone ever had a solid black...
Well, with the advent of this Pandemic and work being scarce (work for school district) I was unable to order the fancy chicks I wanted so badly from Alchemist Farm...... (I will in the future). Today I received my Meyer chicks all the way from Ohio in 30 hours from hatching, woohoo!
