you know, im now curious if this seeming silkie looking cross is one.. it had supposedly a rhod islend red ma, i figured with feathered feet and crest, and no ail it was what thought was aruacana roo way at other side of sale cage. but its rsisting feathering very much, and continues to start...
does the black skin (etc), seem to be dominant from hen or cock in any way anyone has noticed? or general physical charectoristics of silkies in general?
see originally know theyre supposed to like other similar breeds (supposedly, as only seen it twice), so wondering if alot of to all these standard silkies are just left with the mutt genes they inherit from out crossing to get fancy features nowadays, as i asked about testing culling cockrels...
anyone have, seen, or have any ideas on sumatra x silkies? would love the extra spurs all showy on silkie, and also sumatra look with silkie's black blood, bones, skin, and meat!
what is the mix of the above partially naked (naked neck, or one that is totally bald). now want to see siolkies bred into naked ones to get pure naked silkies to watch run around..
adorableness, yay!!! didnt know you could make sexlink silkies, but then again this game hen and one or two roos, seem to be making sexlink chicks, as all females black combed, and very few males lighter.. thought they had to be specially bred for that. ??? am i right, and is reason...
anyone know what would be better cross: silkie roo or hen, to something else to get general adorableness all around (assuming roo would be easiest to aquire though..)?
lmost bought three silkie cochin crosses, but got back to late and they were bought already, and now am drooling over these birds... how are they as brooders, layers, friendly pets, hardiness?
