Thanks @Teila ! My last hen recently passed away so I am fresh out of chickens but happy knowing that they all lived to a ripe old age. I decided to wait a bit and get a fresh start to see how I can improve how I handle the next flock, but now I'm ready and excited for some new babies
Poor you although it's understandable. Ours are conceited, lazy, spoiled, self-centred and stubborn. They roam the yard whenever they feel like and annoy the chickens just for fun. I love them!
I used to years ago, but a dog broke into their enormous hutch and massacred them...I didn't have the heart to take it up again so we now just have two does and a buck.
Jack and Smoky
The Red Stars production is pretty low these days anyway, I think it's time for some fresh flock members. Sadly a little boy in the area drowned in the floodwaters yesterday...things like that make you realize how dangerous the wet season can be.... :(
Hi everybody, could you please take a look at this for me? Thanks.

Sounds amazing. I've never been to Tassie. Up here we've got dry season and wet season. Right now we are smack in the middle of the build-up....where the humidity rises as the wet season begins. Hurry up and rain already! It's rained only about once this year!
