Wow, I got a reply! Not from him directly but from a staff member, which is more than I expected.
This is the note I sent to him awhile back:

Subject: Guinea Fowl
Sometimes, I have to ask: Why ask why? Good ones, Linda! I have to catch myself to break habits I grew up with like the "hot water heater" thing. They are so ingrained, but then you hear yourself say them and go ACK! Why did I say that?!
No, I have enough to do, LOL. I like Jack Hanna. I think he just fell into that very common trap, but with his position of being an animal educator, I feel he should set an example and use the proper terminology.
I don't get the channel that Billy is on, I don't think. Haven't seen him, to my knowledge. I really don't expect a reply, but had to get that out of my system since he is an educator.
I'm betting he just fell into the bad habit of calling all guineas "guinea hens". Will let you know if he admits he made a mistake or if he answers at all.
They were running in across a field in the distance and there is NO way he could tell if they were male or female or a mix of the two. This was on someone else's preserve, not his.
Watched a show of his in which a group of guineas was being chased across a field by a dog playfully. He said something about a "group of guinea hens". Now, I expect more of the great Jack Hanna! No way he should be calling the entire species "guinea hens" so I emailed him, complimented him on...
