Here's some recent picts of our crew :) All 3.5 years old. keeps snowing then melting here... Last pict is just for comparison of how much his tail grew so quickly after molting :) and sorry I know these are crappy picts. but there's no sun shine here lately...- autumnmfisher

mine went back and forth several times with one a day then one every other day, then two a day, then none for 3 days. then just a little over a week ago I got 4 eggs one night - we only have 4 hens, and three the next, then right back to every other night... or do you think its just a bad year for chicks? I've heard several people say the chicks grew fine and just never hatched, and not just with peafowl eggs this year... just thinking maybe the harsh winter and -20 - -30 degree temps affected the birds like it affected the plants... am I the only...- autumnmfisher

We have the peas in a 16X16 outer enclosure attached to an inside 10X8 enclosure which is just under half of the chicken coop, and inside they are only separated from the chickens by chicken wire. Thanks guys :) yup I really really wanted "Houdini" to be a boy... cant deny she's Houdina now tho. ya chicken wires rust proof, wish i'd known it wasn't good to use for peas. gonna leave it unless we have problems tho. It will look really awesome when the vines - grapes and kiwi - grow over it, which will take a couple years, but heck, peas live a long time :)- autumnmfisher

hope the chicken wire holds, didn't know that... We did the rafter design because i want to grow grapes and kiwi vine over it, my friend has a porch like this and i love it. so far they havn't even touched the wire, if they do, what should we replace it with? or is this a worry with preditors...- autumnmfisher
