I live right next to northgate mall.. I have a rooster that was grandfathered in but even so you can raise the chicks, if you get a rooster you can sell or rehome or drop at bothell feed store or monroe farm and feed store...... Or have dinner when it starts crowing

Thanks :) All 5 went to thier new home today :) I just did not have room with my larger batch hatching 10 days from now. 17 days minimum and I would not breed any rooster or hen that is aggressive. Most people over look the hens and if the hen is mean/aggressive then all her babies will be.

Excellent idea! use a aquarium heater..... you just need to keep above freezing just have it plugged in when ever the temps get to freezing. Or put the waterer in the coop and when the coop is closed up with birds it is rare to get to freezing unless you have a all wire(open) side.

Depending on location.... look for a glass company or a pipes company near you. they have to ship/transport them in large crates which can be used for beds. biggest issue is the size of these crates........ from 10' long to 25' long. you can break them down and use the materials but I'd just use...

Maybe you can borrow a web cam or something? You can also try a fake sign/etc and hope that people believe it.. Sucks that anyone would steal food from another that has worked hard for it.
