Eggtopsy is done. of my 6 starting eggs, 1 was infertile, 2 were quitters, 2 were misaligned with one having its head tucked into its belly angled more towards the pointy end (the one I tried to help) and the other completely turned towards the pointy end. The last one was in the perfect...
Wondering if I should be worried. The little one that internally pipped has been that way for 36 hours. I candled it last night and it was moving but this afternoon at the 36 hour mark it is no longer moving. Any ideas or tips?
A little light in the darkness! Woke up, felt cruddy, candled the eggs, one of the babies have internally pipped!!! I know it is much to soon to celebrate but ahhhhh!
heehee! I know! However, My 'Turkey' is actually a cross mutt chicken who got into a fight with her siblings and had a lot of her feathers plucked out and she looked like my granny's old, haggard turkey, thus the name. Luckily they are all grown back in now but the name stuck with her :P Should...
Thanks. You guys really are helping keep the guilt at bay and oh my those babies are so adorable! I wish I could get some pretty pretties but all of mine look like my little one 'Turkey'

I'm fairly certain it's to late for this one. I chipped a bit more of the shell but cannot find the beak and it is no longer moving at all. no movement in about an hour now
Just did a quick check. Can still see the thin red veins so they have not fully absorbed but not seeing any movement whatsoever. Not responding to calling of gentle taps to the shell.
I'm about to head to the store to find either coconut oil or neosporin, so I will definitely do that in case I need it. How would I know where to help chip at for the head though, when I have no idea where it's head currently is?
I'm hopeful thats what it is. The one that I opened *sighs in self-shame* is luckily still moving. I was scared he bled out or something along those lines since he stopped moving but when I tap the viewing glass he dutifully gives me me a little kick and squirm. I'm not touching the other 3 at...
