    November/December "Hatch-a-Long"

Haha I am having a great time- this is one of the coolest most exciting things in the world. Hubby called me and told me to step away from the incubator but it's hard to do. I turned to look at the tv and missed one pop out of his egg. I have 8 out so far and 6 pips that I can see. I do have one...

    November/December "Hatch-a-Long"

Day 20 started at 5:30 yesterday and I went to sleep (well, for a couple hours before having to peek in the bator) with 2 pips. I got up at 4am to a chick and 9 pips! I now have 2 chicks and 2 zips and I think 7 pips- 19 eggs total so it's going to be a long day here! I won't be hard to find...

Going into lockdown at 5:30 today! Time to get nervous. I started with 36 game eggs and have 20 going strong-I noticed one egg is a lot fuller than the others. It's not a lot bigger than the other eggs but it "might" have been a double. It would be cool to hatch a double but I would cry if one...

Congrats to all on those beautiful chicks! I just candled (day 8 ) and removed 6 clear and 5 blood rings. I am down to 25 eggs now. That is still way more than I started with last hatch so I'm just keeping my FX for them all to get to lockdown. For those who have lost eggs recently I feel your...

Ok thanks! I am keeping the humidity between 45 and 50% ( well, that's where it chooses to stay no matter what I do with no water in there ) and plan to up it by adding water when I go into lockdown. Just making sure I am giving these lil eggs every bit of chance I can give them. Side note-...

I have been reading every thread I can about incubating eggs and now I have a question. Do you need water in the 'bator at all times? I saw that on another post and he said "you should have water at all times so the eggs do not lose too much or the chicks will get stuck". If you add water...

Hope you feel better soon. I'm on day 4 (day 5 begins at 5:30pm for me) and I want to candle so bad but with my weak light I need to wait. Hoping time speeds up -waiting is sooo hard!

    November/December "Hatch-a-Long"

Hi everyone! I have been reading this thread and can't leave my chair. I am afraid someone's chicks will hatch and I won't be here to see them! I tried my first hatch ever (game chickens) in September and out of 13 eggs (had 14 but dropped one putting it in the bator) I went into lockdown...
