    The chicks are good... I did loose one that just wasn't doing well. I have 6 eggs on day 20 that are hatching now! I am dying to see them! The last 5 eggs I ended up putting in the incubator are on day 7. They are all fertile and developing!

    I think my humidity was a bit high for my current hatch so I am totally dry incubating my current batch. If air cells are still small you can just add water when eggs start to internally pip. In those last few days I notice the air cell shrinking even when the humidity is high for lockdown though.

    Three Silkies hatching.... well, two pipped holes and one unzipping! I think they are all black (or very dark) which is awesome!! I am so happy about these babies...

    I am seriously bummed... of my 16 eggs, only 3 are developing! I can hardly believe it. The rest all look clear, not even any quitters. That is a pretty terrible fertility rate.

    Thanks! I have really lucked out with this breeder as she has many cool breeds. I hatched 2 Silkies from her before and they were stunning, but there were only two of them and the hen had 4 toes on one foot so I sold them as pets. It is a bit of a drive but much easier than getting eggs...
