Awwwww congratulations. .... I got 4 silkie eggs in my bator we on day 14 just candled and all 4 are doing fab and moving around getting soe xcited this is my first time hatching

They are so sweet.. Congratulations! Don't you just adore Silkies?? My hen just hatched out nine babies last night and today.. I took three away that she stole from my other hen... One was bad and the other two are in my bator... Good luck with your sweet babies!!

I cant wait think these last week is going to drag must keep myself busy I just know im goung to be a nightmare n constantly stare at the bator my husband not that interested lol n quite frankly is sick of me talking about them hahaha he will change when they hatch

My honey is interested all right... He said if I bring another bird home he is going to stick me in the hen house... Wait til he finds out I want to get three Old English Isabel Cuckoo Orpingtons... He is going to throw me into a pot!! Does anyone know where I can get the Orps?? hehe

Hahaha my hubby should have learnt really he said no to my two horses no to my two dogs he wanted the ducks so cant count them n he thibks il stop at one hatch of chickens mmmmmmm really after all these years he should know me better

It seems you and I are people that think alike... I have one quarter horse, four miniature horses, three barn cats, one inside house cat two dogs and in the past month I have now acquired 33 chickens... Hmmm, maybe I should wait for the orpingtons... Nay.... I buy all my feeds in 50 lb. bags!! AND I purchase two fields of hay a year... Lord these family members are housed and fed better than me and honey!! hahahahaaaaa. Holey chicken,, why am I laughing???

Lol oh I like. we have recently aquired a stable cat who has kindly adopted us but doeant stay to see uss just eats and sleeps there. My animals are same housed and fed better than me we also have 3 children the only thing that lives at home is the dogs all the rest are at the field .iv only got 4 silkie eggs at the min , but I will have more I want polish nxt then who knows I need more ducks too.lol

Adorable!! So happy all 3 hatched for you. When you take some close up pics, post them so I can see the colors better!

Thank you Ruby... My internet was down... ug... anyway, the babies did fluff up on the second and third day... One of them however still has what I  believe to be an attached dried egg yolk still attached to abdomen. Hopefully it will drop off soon.. At least that is what a aviary vet said on FB... Thank you for your concern and help.. Lord I love my Silkies!! And I hope to learn how to navigate BYC.. This place is amazing! 

I'm happy they fluffed up and you are enjoying them! BYC is awesome!!
