I only did it once and the egg moved and was still alive! It was an amazing thing to see because I thought for sure he was dead in there but he wasn't!

Long story, but I ended up with 3 orphaned baby ducks last night! Never a dull moment. Also my shipped eggs arrived this morning. Some air cells look great others are wobbling...can't wait to start the new batch...I bought a little scale for this round!

On what day are you going to start the new batch? I have eggs in route from Georgia to New York, as we speak. Most likely setting Wednesday morning or Thursday morning of this week. I'm so looking forward to this batch, now that I've got one under my belt and can really start fine tuning now!

Congratulations on your little babies! This was my first hatch too and I was blown away but how exciting & happy it was to see those guys break out of their shells! I sat infront of the incubator all day! Enjoy it!!

Have you read about the float test? Please, do it before tossing any eggs that you are unsure of. I did it before getting rid of a "dead" egg that didnt hatch with the others and their was a live baby inside. It's super easy to do, please let me know if you want me to post a link for the...

No, I would expect something Friday afternoon or earlier! I set my eggs on a Wednesday night and they started hatching Wednesday morning! Still in the process. One baby, one pip, and one still intact. I hope they make it!

So today I went into lockdown!! All 3 eggs had moving babies in them this morning! I really hope they hatch!! Wish me luck!! I also ordered some more eggs for next week! Anyone planning on setting again after this batch?
