The farm I volunteer on has a kiddy pool filled about a quarter to half full and the ducks love it. The thing to keep in mind, they WILL get the water dirty so you will also need a steady supply of fresh water to it, and perhaps some way to clean that water occasionally. Dumping a kiddy pool...

One of my I'll just call them Reds.. started her molt yesterday. Oh god the feathers between her and the black one. At least lil miss red is still friendly, the black one got real moody for some reason.

I love ducks but got enough going on right now, I really do NOT need to set up a pond that will need to be filled, cleaned, changed etc, ie MORE work to do, besides, if I get another bird to snuggle up to, I am sure the Cockatoo will probably try to rip a juglar or two out :)
