Yes we've definitely learnt a lesson to be very thorough in our questions etc before purchasing in the future. They are super adorable though, so it will be interesting to see what they are! :)

Thanks everyone, I had a feeling they definitely weren't. Needless to say I've sent the 'breeder' a very annoyed message as he told me he was meticulous with his eggs and they were definitely pure bred Australorps.
