I will not accept it until I have done everything that can be done to keep them out of my 50'x50' chicken yard. So the razor wire will go up this weekend.

    Poultry Predator Identification

I've had opossums and racoons do similar damage to my chickens. Could have been a mink or weasel too. Not sure where you live and if you even have those killers.

    Poultry Predator Identification

I am SOOOOO frustrated! I've spent a fortune on fencing and still last night I came home after dark and there was a 'possum in the chicken yard! Thank goodness all the chickens and ducks were okay. If I were a few minutes later I doubt they would have been all safe. Thankfully the dumb thing...

    Poultry Predator Identification

That's what I'm afraid of. With the sun setting so early, I can't get home from work until after dark. I'm so scared for my critters but I hate to keep them locked up all day. Sigh. Poultry Predator Identification

After 10 days, I have captured a opossum. I don't think that's what killed my drake. I think it was a weasel or a mink. Ducksinarow gave me a 7 month old drake Khaki Caampbell! He's getting along great with his new gals! I love fowl people!

    Poultry Predator Identification

I put out 5 traps and nothing this morning. Been two days since whatever killed my duck/drake. Figured whatever would be back for more. Did trap a opossum and a mole tho that has been tearing up the yard. But I want the duck killer! :rant

I think that print picture is a coon. I have lots of those around; have trapped/killed several in the past. I will set traps tomorrow and try to run another line of electric wire near the top of the fence. If it is a weasel/mink I'm dealing with, from what I hear, they can get in through a 1"...

    Poultry Predator Identification

I just came home and found my Black Cayuga drake dead in the nest with his grieving gals sitting beside him. His neck ripped open. I am so mad and upset. I have them in a 5' fenced in area with electric fence. Don't see any holes in it or where whatever dug under. Must have gone over. Thank...
