I didn't tell anybody what they should or shouldn't do, Trip. Just expressing a general opinion.

Now that our kids (grandkids) are practically out of the house ... I am thinking about fostering ... kids. Maybe little ones, short term. Our place is not much fun for kids that want to play and be amused, there is not much to do around here. We'll see. It's just a thought right now.

More people (IMO) need to consider the childless option. My brother and his wife did, right from the start, and they've had a merry life, doing lots of traveling all over the world, going on a cruise or vacation every year, and they're not wealthy. They just have nothing to spend their money on...

I think we have to take what we can get. I'm glad none of my grandkids seem to want to propagate themselves, there is way too much mental illness, substance abuse and so forth in our genetics. Enough misery, stop the cycle. Have puppies and kittens, lizards and birds! Be happy!

Lol, I'm a grandma 7x over, but it looks like all my "greats" are going to have four paws! Oh, and possibly scales in the case of my eldest, lol. 🙄

They have good balloon rallies in Albuquerque, NM and also in Farmington, NM. I think Farmington's is usually over the Memorial Day weekend. They do a Dip n Dash at Farmington Lake, always fun!

I'll be 70 in April. I've been blessed to have done a lot, seen a lot, had an adventurous life. Now I enjoy a quiet, peaceful life with just me, my DH, chickens, dogs snd cats. But there is one thing, ONE thing, that if my health holds out, I would be willing to go in a jet for s good many hours...
