Well, I decided to have my wife yell at me as soon as she figures out what I'm doing. I pulled the golf balls and she is noe sitting on two eggs.
Is it ok to put tomorrows eggs under her?
I did this because I think its just plain easier than the alternative and since she is now bare brested .

I just went out an removed titlest, nike and Bertha from under my hen and marked the eggs she was on. When I picked her up, I felt skin, so I fliped her. She has lost all her down on her breast/ belly area. Did she do this herself to "build" a nest? There are no signs of mites/lice...

Would the Black Orp. roo over the Blue/black Rock be bad? I also have a Bared Rock that is laying SUPER dark eggs, much darker than her sisters. Would that cross be bad too?
OH, just a tidbit of background info-
Shes aprox a 23 weekold B/B Rock. The "daddy" is a black Orp. Not all of my other girls are laying as of yet. Just my Rocks. Hope this helps.
