:( sorry everyone, we were about to start feeding her and she suddenly had a tremor and died instantly.
Thanks everyone for your input we did the best we could.
Thanks Kathy, :) we already tub fed her 30 mils of the oregano sugar water, (she's likely under 1 kg but i didn't want to give her too little) we used a standard syringe and some aquarium tubing like you suggested, (being very careful to not put any water in her lungs).
I will get some...
yes, only just noticed your post after responding to the others with the same idea, by tubing you mean applying it into the entrance of her mouth? or actually putting a tub down her throat?
we will force water her with oregano oil in sugar water as specified per KG of chicken and per hour...
we will give her the oregano and honey today, no she wasn't boney to start, she started quite plump, just providing water wont do it, she wont drink, we will have to force water and force feed her, she's deteriorating a bit, this morning she's sitting slumped down on the right side but can still...
no, she hasn't been drinking and just this morning we tried giving her food, she doesn't eat either, i think we will start force feeding and force watering.
thanks, i am open to any antibiotics, if it means saving her, what would be the point of "natural or die"?
yes i might try oregano oil we likely have that here somewhere.... would hydrogen peroxide be a good eatable antibacterial? (highly diluted of course) hydrogenperoxide provides more oxygen...
thanks, we feed them a organic seed mixture called "coffiee" (everything they eat is organic). she's not looking to good sadly, shes standing there with her head sitting in her feathers and doesn't look at you when you check on her.... is there anything that would give her a boost? some kind of...
Thanks :) one of us is always home to care for kip :) i understand the reason for frequent small meals...... we have made a muesli yogurt fruit and honey food puree, its delicious! we'll start feeding her it tomorrow.
I mean i am seeing the whole external patch of skin (the skin feathers grow off) on the outside of the breast where the gullet protrudes from, white, soft and slightly inflamed, but i also have seen the white of the very inside of the crop like you too, probably like some kind of fatty lining...
Thank you for your response :) at the time we made the cut it was to the upper right of the crop, but after removing the contents which made it softball size, it is close to center middle of the crop, so what do you suggest we do since its in the middle of the crop? does it need internal gluing...
so the crop leaked like i see mine is now, and it still healed and he survived? i hope my surgery gos like yours, but i have decided to reopen her, i think the inner flesh glued part has come totally undone, in this case i think a infection could very likely happen....
oh, and what do you mean...
it seems like the inside layer or flesh has unglued :( does that mean the crops contents can leak into here body cavity? this isn't good.... we have a full stitching kit..... would it be best to desolve the superglue, stitch the inner flesh then the skin? or is it to dangerous to reopen her...
