You should probably check them all...speckled usually means it's a porous egg,not likely to hatch well,I'm afraid..

Yeah,she'll peck you,but she won't go for your face or anything.there's a small chance she'll stop being broody,but when you move her,just put her in a box with some more nest box shavings and some ping pong balls,and she should be good.just whatever you do,you can't let the eggs get too...

oh,and you can slowly switch her to chick food before they hatch because the chicks cant eat layer feed,thats very bad

you can remove her for a short while,that should be ok,and depends,was she brooding on them for a while,THEN they werent set on,or she just didnt set before that?

My first broody too,it's basically however many eggs she's happy to.set on,so long as she can keep them all warm. I'll be watching this thread for the other answers
