Using this as a coop... conversion?

Beautiful! Unfortunately that’s a bit too large for the space I have to work with.

Using this as a coop... conversion?

No, actually I haven’t. I’m not sure why I didn’t think of that.

Any chicken coop brands that’d be cheaper than this whole project?

Using this as a coop... conversion?

When you have no skills at all, it is pretty hard.

I’m beginning to think this was a bad idea :gig

Using this as a coop... conversion?

Makes sense. I’m thinking out loud here , but that is helpful. Woulda plastic shed be easy to ventilate?

Yup, I noticed that. I personally don’t want to go much more than 1,200 dollars, but if it’s under 1,400 that’s probably okay.

Oh... you are right. Seems I misread the price. I’m working on a budget right now, but I don’t think that one is in it lol.

I’ll definitely look into that. Thank you.

Using this as a coop... conversion?

Yes, of course I know they don’t roost (Except for Muscovy ducks.) Ducks aren’t all that intelligent in such situations. I figure perhaps using a poop board to help with that, or just splitting the coop.

Using this as a coop... conversion?

Of course, but thanks 😊 Thank you! That shed is 8x12, so how many roosts for 10-14 chickens if I wanted at least 4-6 square feet per bird? I do realize that. I wish I had a better way of doing things, but with my budget i can’t really afford two sheds. I like my girls, so I won’t be getting...

Using this as a coop... conversion?

That makes so much sense. I feel dumb now, but thanks. So a wood shed would be my best option? By the way, what do you recommend me to purchase for roosts? (This would be used for ducks and chickens)

Using this as a coop... conversion?

Thanks. I wouldn’t have food or water in it either, but with ducks comes moisture. I’m a fan of this one. If the price works out, I think this is what I will go with. (But I’m very picky, I keep changing my mind, so we’ll see) However, I can’t see if it’s OSB or Particleboard that’s in use...

I feel like wood would be nice to have.

Using this as a coop... conversion?

Thank you. Since I’m looking to have waterfowl in my coop, I really want something that lasts. Perhaps I’ll check Lowe’s again and see if they specify what material is in use.

Using this as a coop... conversion?

Does OSB last, or will it fall apart when it contacts moisture?

Using this as a coop... conversion?

What do you all think of this.... https://www.suncast.com/bms8100-tremonttm.html I’d add roosts and ventilation somehow, and make it work for both my chickens and my ducks. I chose against wood because most wood sheds are made with particle board which would never hold up with waterfowl or...

Using this as a coop... conversion?

I think it’s what I’m going with, but probably not the particle board version so it will hold up to both chickens and ducks.
