    Rescue ducklings (Niacin/riboflavin deficiency)

I wish I lived closer to you. I would try to help you exercise those little darlings. The club foot should straighten out if you can find something to affix it to. And yes we would like some pictures!!

    Rescue ducklings (Niacin/riboflavin deficiency)

Well if the therapeutic dose is 10X the normal daily amount you should be just fine. Now if it was someone with 0 common sense, probably not. :lau:lau:lau:lau:lau:lau

That looks like a great resource.:highfive: I actually hadn’t seen a reference for a therapeutic dosage! Just for giggles I tried giving my adults some liquid niacin mixed in with mealworms. I let the niacin absorb a little. They gobbled it up in 10 seconds. So I think I will continue to do...

Could you build something out of popsicle sticks to help straighten out her spine? I know they make back braces for people with really bad scoliosis. Maybe you could duplicate that at night while she’s sleeping. Or just see how she reacts to it. I’ll do some brainstorming.

Thank you!! I was going to ask if you would be interested in updating. That way other BYCers would be able to see it in the future. Or someone googling it for that matter.:highfive:

    Rescue ducklings (Niacin/riboflavin deficiency)

Yes I would say they are 2 weeks old. 3 at the most, but I don’t think so. And yes I think it’s a good thing they are younger than 4 weeks too. Much better outlook! Hopefully after all their pampering, you won’t be able to tell anything was wrong with them! Do you have any feed stores near you...

Also, are you sure on the age? I have Pekins that are about 2.5 weeks old and they look the same size. But you can’t tell from pictures sometimes. This picture was from Sunday.........

Those definitely look treatable. Assuming each duckling consumes it all, you can give each one 10 mg of niacin each. And each tablespoon has 20 mg. If they were mine, I would hold back water for an hour. Then give them a concentrated amount. I can’t remember how many you said you had. But assume...

    Rescue ducklings (Niacin/riboflavin deficiency)

Hi bsides!! Thank you for rescuing them!! I doubt there is anything you can do for the spine issue. Like Miss Lydia mentioned, it will be really helpful if you can post some pictures. You can give them 10mg of niacin although it won’t hurt them if you give them more. What kind of vitamin b...
