    That's what I figured. I expect the hens to get a comb that big (like the one on the left), but only when they start laying, not at ten weeks. Stupid straight run chickens, not being the sex that I want.

    I bought what I was told were RIR's and they all look exactly like what has been posted so far (even the ones next to the Wyandotte chicks). I'll have to look up the difference between RIR and production Reds.
