Rhode Island Reds...Rooster AND Hen?

How do these chickens look now? The one we thought was a cockrel definitely is; but now out of the blue it looks like another of my production reds is a cockrel as well!

The one on the right is the one that we suspected was a cockrel early on. The one on the left I just noticed about a week ago and now I'm afraid that I have two!

yes you have two cockerels. Far right "standing" and directly in front of the duck.

That's what I figured. I expect the hens to get a comb that big (like the one on the left), but only when they start laying, not at ten weeks.

Stupid straight run chickens, not being the sex that I want.

3/5 pullets from straight run is pretty good

Technically it was 2/4 in the first batch. One chick died and I replaced it with the other two non-reds. Alas, that's what I get for buying them out of the back of a pickup truck in a bar parking lot.

I'm bummed because I want my government allowed number of hens, and didn't really want to deal with integrating new birds yet. Oh well.

***UPDATE***

I was pretty sure I had one cockerel and one pullet, but neither have saddle feathers or sickle feathers. Although I was sure one on the left was a rooster because of the comb, I now firmly believe two hens. Are these RIR after all?

What breed is your little light brown ome to the right if the black one?

She is an Easter Egger. She has been squatting for over two weeks now and still no eggs. Unless they are the same brown as everyone else and we just haven't caught her in the act yet.
