    Then the Cochin is right for you, my dear. I can't remember to be honest, but I know mine go broody more than they lay eggs. And only once did I let my cochin hatch out her own egg, and that was how Bootsie came to be.

    The broody part is what drives me nutters though! Once, upon a time, they stopped their brooding, but then, shortly after, they started back up!🙄🤣

    Same only different!😉 They are a wonderful breed, even though they have size between them! I never had LF Cochins, only the bantam.

    He is a hair taller than my bantam Cochin rooster, so not big. But he is lanky. More leg than the B. Cochin.

    I love the idea of a polish cochin!🤩 And as for mix breeding, I have a cockerel whose mother was a red bantam Cochin, and his father was a standard size, large Buff Brahma. His name is Bootsie, and he is very sweet!

    Mine aren't unfriendly, they just dont get handled a whole lot. So they aren't cuddly. But yes, if constantly held and raised right, as with any chicken, they can be very friendly!
