I agree. You should be fine clipping it. It will dry up rather quickly. As soon as my babies are born I wait maybe an hour or so at the most and then put them in the brooder. I know most say to leave them in the incubator for 24 hours but I've never done that and they've all been just fine...

that's ok, he's had a hard day so let him rest. Make sure he is warm but water and food is not needed today. Also, if you have a little mirror that you can put in the brooder with him or even a little stuffed animal he will like that and not feel alone.

They are all breathing and have plenty of access to fresh air but you have to wait until those veins are gone then you might be able to start picking. You said that the shells were very hard. That may be why they couldn't do it on their own but as long as they all have their little bills out...

if you've made a hole in the air cell end and can hear chirping I think you are ok. If you can do it carefully you could start picking a bit at the hole that you've made to make it bigger. If you see any veins or blood STOP! Here is a good guide to assisted hatching so read it carefully before...

that does look like it might be the start of a pip! Be careful when you take the eggs out. Sometimes we are so worried about taking it out that we try to get it back in too quickly and you bump it or worse. Take your time and you don't have to do it often. If you notice obvious bruising on the...

You are correct on your days. It is day 29. Your temperature is good. Your humidity could go up a touch more even to 80%. As far as opening the incubator I do it all the time to check. I'll take out one egg, candle it, and then put it right back quickly. If you can't see any movement or signs...
