A solid lamp shade, cloth material, OR if you want to go all out, have a glass Tiffany type, with same colors as the lamp itself, gold with gold grapes and white and creme background with gold trimmings.

i agree with everyone in here, love the lamp but ditch the shade! It's hideous!
