gwendalynn28,
Yes it was a nice warm day here yesterday around 70°F.
The chicks are never alone either myself or my daughter is sitting with them.
The one egg I culled [removed from the incubator] was on day 10 of incubation.
My hatch was all done as of 10:30 pm Saturday evening - they all hatched on time.
Started out with 12 on day one - culled one on day 10 and had all the remaining 11 hatch.
They are a lot of fun.
They spent the whole afternoon outside in the garden yesterday afternoon eating/drinking and napping.
Well all but one of my chicks is doing great. Out of the 11 eggs that made it to lockdown - all of them hatched
The one seems to be taking a little longer getting its legs under it.
Also had two born with an extra toe coming out of the side of the back toe but it is not affecting them at all...
Well my last egg just hatched 16 hours after the first one. It has been
a long day.
Out of the dozen eggs I started with and loosing one on day 10 all the remaining 11
hatched.
Will post some pictures shortly.
Good luck to all who are still hatching
I also candled all my Araucana eggs last night.
Out of the 11 I have left from the dozen I started all are looking great - lots of development!!!
Looking forward to see how many actually hatch.
Candled my Araucana eggs last night.
I was very concerned about them becasue when I got home from work on Monday one of the bulbs had burnt out [the one that regulates the temperature].
The temperature was at 110°F - luckily it looks like it wasn't for very long.
Glad to say all 12 are looking...
