@HorseGirlAbby - I am sorry to hear you didn't see a Calliope, they're such neat birds. But I am sure jealous of those Black-chinned Hummingbirds! That's got to be my favorite North American hummingbird species, they are so gorgeous. And their vocalizations sound SO similar to Ruby-throated.

Ruby-throated are starting to migrate South - here in Alabama, we are getting more new birds coming in. 6 feeders out!

No hummers harmed in video, they were just fine!
No hummingbirds to report for us yet, but we have two feeders out with nectar and ready to go for any arrivals. I have a game camera on one in hopes maybe it will alert us to an arrival!

Well, the Ruby-throated Hummingbirds are on the move South. Here in Alabama, we have only a handful left - they generally are gone in October. Only about 5 or 6 birds here now, but we love them and have lots of feeders for them and any stragglers.
A week ago, we had a large boom of them coming...
