I use medicated feed in brooders as a preventative. Don't do anything for the broody raised

I'm very certain that I have dealt with it with broody raised chicks. Haven't had problems with brooder raised though

That's only with market class, and even then only if you win grand or reserve (at least at our fair). Everything that comes for the other shows is taken home if you don't privately sell it
