Unfortunately he didn’t make it :(
He was doing great on Saturday- he was sort of walking and had escaped from the cage several times. When I got up on Sunday he was in the incubator looking quite listless. I got him out and he died in my arms about 5 minutes later. I am gutted as we was doing well.
Seems to be stronger this morning. He’s eaten some more sludge. Shouting loudly and getting very frustrated that he can’t seem to get the coordinations together to walk.

His tummy is still sticking out a bit. He has been licking drops of water off the bottom of the incubator. He’s quite lively and shouty. He’s pushed all the other eggs around the incubator. Constantly.
So we lost a duckling yesterday. His brother was pipping also. This morning he looked like he was struggling a bit- he was coming out ass first. Very strong, shouting and flapping the wing and foot he’d managed to get free. He popped his head out this morning. There’s still a small fingernail...
