    I dice mine up really small, what's the term? mince? Anyway, I dice it up and keep it in a baggie for emergencies. It works really well for an upset stomach. I pry about a half teaspoon worth off of the chunk and toss it in my mouth like an aspirin and swallow with water. It works GREAT!

    I'd give them all a go. Yeah, make a tea and brew it strong, then serve it diluted by half in their waterers. ETA: You'll have to watch for diarrhea if they're not used to these herbs. If it develops, I'd cut the brew again by half water and try that.
