Incubating Lavender Ameraucanas Dry Hatch or No?

Looks like Vito the 2nd! How old is Eloise? Vito is 4 weeks in the pic.

Vito’s my favorite. I’m trying to give him extra attention hoping it will help him be good to his ladies. I’ve suspected he was a roo since he hatched. Always had the distinctive 3 rows. Odd because my other Ameraucana colors haven’t had the 3 rows at hatch.

The black are a black split, the gray/yellow ones will be white. Here’s one of my self blue’s. Pretty sure it’s a roo. We named his Vito 🤣

I’m so jealous! Only 6 of my 11 eggs from Paul hatched, 0 self blue. Ugh, at least I have a few from a different hatch. These babies will be beauties though!

Incubating Lavender Ameraucanas Dry Hatch or No?

5 babies hatched today, they all look similar to this one. Maybe a few are a little lighter in color. There are a few Isabel and a few Wheaten. Eggs were clearly marked but I wasn’t paying close enough attention and didn’t see who hatched from which egg. 😩

Anyone know how to tell the difference between a Wheaten and an Isabel at hatch?

Hi there! I think I was the one Paul emailed you about! Thanks for the advice on the shipped eggs. I’m on day 14 with Paul’s eggs and have 11 left (out of 22). I only have a couple with good air cells, the rest are still a little wobbly. I have hope though!
