Wow! so sorry for jumping on this thread late but I just read every single post!!! 30 pages!!! Well, I wanted to jump in because Im getting new chicks this year too. I have 7 eggs in my little brinsea incubator on day 10. Ive never incubated before so I might not be successful but its loads...

Oh MY :love I so wanted these but could not find them anywhere. There was a breeder here in Mass but they sold off their breeding stock last fall....i was so bummed. Thankd for the picture...I'll have to live vicariously through your pictures :)

I like having a variety especially when I first got chickens. I got to know what I liked and didnt like this way for future chickens. Also, I also like to be able to name my chickens and tell them apart. I keep them as pets and egg producers and just a hobby so this would be vastly different...

Whats a blue wyandotte? I don't think I've ever heard of that variety. Is it the one in the middle? They're all so cute!

Those are cool looking dogs. See them at the dog shows. I've always loved the hound dog look but never had the pleasure of having one.

Im sorry that happened. I had that happen to me once a few years ago. I just now ordered from a hatchery, up until now I only bought chicks from local breeders. But I wanted polish and couldn't find them anywhere so I ordered....we'll see

I mean that is just rude!! I cannot imagine doing that to a fellow chicken keeper. She had to have known...there is no way ALL of them were coincidentally cockerels. I cannot imagine what my DH would have done:rant Live and learn, I guess but she just put a whole basket-full of bad chicken...
