Beautiful pics. It has been in the upper 40s and lower 50s for the last 3 weeks in Flathead Valley and the snow in the valley is almost gone. Of course there's still loads of it up on the higher Rocky Mountains around us where the altitude keeps the temperatures much colder.
I found Togo, MN on the map and it's a little further south than Kalispell, MT. The latitude for Kalispell is 48.2 degrees N. The latitude for Togo, MN is 47.8 degrees N. Not a lot of difference.
Actually Kalispell, MT is further north than Orrock Township, MN. We are only about 60 miles from the Canadian border. But you are definitely further east than either Mountain Peeps or I am.
Weather can do weird things with regard to location. When my wife and I drove back home from Wal-Mart in Kalispell yesterday evening, the snow was coming down in flurries. We had to drive slow due to the poor visibility.
She said 2 feet overnight, but since I haven't been to Marion today I don't know whether they actually had that or not, but you may be right about that about the two feet on the ground. That's about the depth of the snow on our property right now.
The weather has been really strange and sporadic here. We got 3-4 inches of snow overnight and into the early morning. A lady we met this afternoon who lives in Marion told us they got 2 feet of snow overnight and she said her relatives in Whitefish didn't get any snow last night. Really crazy, huh?
