    My Rooster laid an egg!!!

I guess I’m a little annoyed that so many are saying it’s not possible, lol sorry

    My Rooster laid an egg!!!

How do you know the bird is not hermaphrodite? So with approximately 23.7 billion chickens chances of that happening are quite possible, thank you And only one form of chimaerism splits down the middle. There are many other forms. A human I know has two reproductive systems, and I don’t know...

    My Rooster laid an egg!!!

Omg... look it up. I’ve a seen salmon that was hermaphrodite and a hatchery was able to spawn it with itself producing all females, spawn it w a female, and spawn it with a male, so there. I’m sure that was not covered in biology books. It’s not impossible. Fact.

Chimaera also present randomly, as well as down the middle. Some organisms have only one organ that’s genetically different

    My Rooster laid an egg!!!

It wou Got it, yeah.... It’s pretty obvious that a lot of people think it’s a trick. I don’t, and I’m trying to help the op understand the possibilities and not join the masses to tell him again “ it’s a trick” It would only have different DNA if it was a chimaera obviously. Women have almost...

    My Rooster laid an egg!!!

If it’s a genetic chimaera, then it would depend where on subject the DNA was collected.

    My Rooster laid an egg!!!

Great pic of a “typical” reproductive system. There are going to be a lot of anomalies in a huge population. Fact. So yeah I agree a typical rooster can not lay eggs. I don’t think this ones typical, or a “rooster” it’s probably a hen that became a rooster, when it was injured it probably shut...

    My Rooster laid an egg!!!

I think alot of things are possible, especially when there are more chances for it to happen(population explosion) the more organisms in a population the more chances for anomaly. I’ve seen salmon artificially hatching, in the wild the anomalies I saw would not have emerged from the gravel, but...

    My Rooster laid an egg!!!

There are so many chickens in the world, bound to be every mutation possible pop up. Has anyone heard of chimaeras? Even “experts” see new things. And I’m pretty sure absolutely anyone can join BYC.
