Here are updated pics of the odd chick. I'm not sure but I think it's a cockrel, what do you all think? I am still not sure what it is, it seems to have mottling coming in yet it has some partridge pattern in the brown and it's feathers are framed in black... I'm so confused by this little one lol

What is up with this one partridge chick(the last 3 pics)? It has lots of black and then some white tips on its feathers... another one from an older group has some white also but isn't so black... they are supposed to be partridge...Some updated pics of my partridges... one of them is...

I think he's a boy also. He's very bold and friendly. He tends to the ladies even at this age, feeds them first, sleeps with his head over them Etc. He has more wattle development and the tail is a giveaway also. I think there's at least one other little man in the group judging by these...

Some of my mottled orpington chicks are feathering in. I am wondering if you can tell their gender? I have an idea but second opinions are always welcome! #1 #2 #3 #4 #5 The breeder told me they were between 5 and 8 weeks but I really don't know how accurate that is... I have more pics of...

Yeah I'm a little afraid of how well I will be able to control myself. The barn is huge and there are more outbuildings than I know what to do with. It's like a dream! The property even comes with a grown Pyr that was raised on the land and has protected chickens and many other animals on that...

You might end up with some interesting color combinations with such an eclectic collection of orp varieties. Sounds like fun! A yard full of Orpingtons! What could be more beautiful? I can't wait to move out to our new 22 acre farm and let these chicks free range. For now they get some play time...

Yes! BBS are my next goal. I think blue mottleds would be so pretty! They make great decoration even if you can't breed or show. They're my favorite breed of pet chicken. mine always end up so friendly and amusing!

Ohhhh so eggciting! I never thought I'd own mottleds, I'm so happy to start my flock with them. I got so lucky with these! They are half Autumn Farms and half Heirloom so I hope I can introduce new blood with some blacks at some point and maybe find another unrelated mottled rooster at some...
